This is the best fitness book I've tried! (and I own a considerable collection ;))
I first chose the weight-loss PHA program and it really worked!!!
I saw a big improvement on thighs, buttock and tummy!!! I also impressed my husbund with my abdominals (!!!)
I alternated days of jogging-walking-stepping with PHA days and I continued my low-carb, low-cal diet.
Though it is not a 20min. program as stated by Mr. Roberts, (it takes 35-45min. not counting warming-up), once I got familiar with it I ended up totally addicted.

This book gives details of four workouts. I began with the 2nd one aimed at toning up muscle. I chose it because I liked Roberts' claim that I could get through the routine in 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes I was 40% through. On the second day I tried, I got 50% doing in 45 minutes. It's a great litte workout though! Just take the speed thing with a pinch of salt!

I bought this book and started the muscle-building workout. It's really good stuff and it makes sense but I agree with a previous review which says to take the time thing with a pinch of salt. According to Roberts, my workout should take me 45 minutes. I did it for a few weeks and I challenge any NORMAL person to do that workout in 45 minutes. A bit unrealistic- yes, at least in terms of time. In terms of the principles behind the workouts they by and large make sense. Give it a try - any step toward better health is a good step. But if you're looking specifically to build muscle I believe there are more effective ways to do it other than Roberts' PHA workout.
