I went to Leeds festival this year and in my drunken state wondered into the dance tent. Not being a big dance fan i was suprised to like what was playing, a group id never heard of called Just Jack. On closer listen i thought i was in the wrong place, in an urban, Streets like stage listening to a band that should have been graced with the credit they deserved and been on the main stage or atleast the Radio 1 stage the music is a blend of urban, dance and mellow chill out, and bloddy great it was 2, why was nobody listenin then???i had just arrived and was up against the railings, the tent was empty. Enuf of that anyway.the music is cool, its got a dated feel to it, in a good way that is. The lyrics are cool, phrases like 'She told me people came here to get drunk before they died'. The music is good, ok not the best thing ever but that is not to be expected for a groups first album. Jack Allsop deserves to get his name known and with tracks like Paradise lost and found deserves to go into the charts.
The album is in some parts samey, i.e very blur from last to next but this is not bad, its all very good infact and there isnt a track i dislike.
It is certainly worth listnin to and helpin to get there name known, the lad can sing well as can the woman who graces the occasional track with her silky voice, are great
I would reccomend it, it hasnt been out of my player since last week!
Its not as heavy as the Streets although thats the nearest comparison, its more chillout than them.
In a nutshell, buy, its worth a listen if not for track 8 alone, if u wanna chill out and vibe BUY!!!!!
