This was the first Eva cd I bought - the shop had sold out of the other (then four) cds or I would have bought them all - just from seeing her on TOTP2 in December 2000. I have since bought all her cds and have to say they are brilliant -BUT this one is my favourite. I love every track. I love their choice of songs, it is a fabulous cd.

Driving home in the rain one night, Over the rainbow came on the radio, it gave me goosebumps. Eva's exquisite rendition of this song had me in tears. She has the voice of an angel. She wass so versatile in her ability to sing r&b, jazz and could turn her voice to almost any type of music, adding her own innimitable style to each track. Chuck Brown gives praise to her on this album, and rightly so, she does him proud. I wish we could have more of her work, I can never hear too much of Eva - she's wonderful. I own a copy of all her albums and everyone is brilliant - this is different to her normal soulful ballads, but nonetheless an exciting album that makes you want to keep playing it.

I am a big Eva fan and was delighted when i found this album of duets with the wonderful Chuck Brown. They sing together with such ease and you can just hear the fun they were having making this fantastic music.

A 'must have' album if you are a fan
The unique voice of Eva Cassidy is demonstrated to the full on this album. The superb solos and edgy duets ... magnificent!

I too am one of the many who had never heard of Eva Cassidy intil TOTP2, I became an instant fan and 'The Other Side' is my favourite disk so far. Read more
