Product Description

When it comes to dog biscuits, there's a lot out there! While most of the competition goes for novelty, the Organic Dog Biscuit Cookbook stands alone in featuring tail-waggingly tasty 100% organic ingredients. Written by an expert who runs the Bubba Rose Biscuit Company, it contains more than 100 all-natural recipes-double what most other dog cookbooks have. That's sure to appeal to owners eager to feed their dog homemade after the recent commercial pet food scare. The wholesome doggie dishes (all tried, true and taste tested) include a "Luck of the Irish Wolfhound" dog treat with such ingredients as oat flour and spinach leaves, and a beef-based "Grillin' and Chillin" hot dog! Plus, the lay-flat binding a ribbon marker make the book easy to work with.

A lovely hard backed good quality book. Nice to handle and has a nice feel to it. Full of fabulous organic doggy biscuit recipes, which are so easy to make. My dogs loved the ones I have tried especially the liver & chedder.

The only downside with the book for me is that some of the ingredients are given as cup measurements, so I had to look on the web to convert them to ounces etc, or purchasse some cup measures. If you don't as I did first time I baked some the recipe went totally wrong. But apart from that its a really nice well written book, and would make an ideal present for a doggy lover.

Scrumptious treats 20 Jun 2010

I have two rather fussy Cavalier King Charles spaniels who dislike commercial dog biscuits. I have been making my own dog biscuits for some time now and wanted to widen the repertoire of supper-time treats. The Cavaliers absolutely love the biscuits I have made for them from these recipes. Although this is an american book, the recipes and ingredients are quite straightforward, using standard measuring cups. They also keep very well - although this isn't a problem in our house as they are so yummy, the biscuit jar is emptied regularly!!! All in all, a great book with a huge variety of recipes your dogs will love.

This is a really nicely presented book and the contents look well-researched and you get the feeling that the writers have spent a long time experimenting with recipies in their kitchen and their dogs probably think they've hit the jackpot as far as finding the right master/mistress. Be aware that it's an American publication and they therefore talk in cup's which is a bit of a pain (I'm now going to have to seek out a cup measurement - there seems to be various different conversion measurements, so it seems easier just to follow the cup size quantities if you can find an American measuring cup). It's also written in that slightly nausiating American house-wife delivery. However it is a lovely book, beautifully presented and its fun to bake for your dog. Someone should put together a slightly ironic, self-depreciating, 'why am I wasting my time and money baking for the dog when I could be having a life' British verson. It's lost a point in my star rating for being cheesy American.
