Yup, it's gorgeous 17 July 2008
Format:Audio CD
Like many I came to this album through David Sylvian's recommendation. And thank you Mr. Sylvian for pointing us in the direction of such wonderful tracks as The Siren Songs, Yonderhead and All That Numbs You. Sure, this album is dark and moody but it's also uplifting and vibrant, in the style of Nick Cave and - dare I say it - Sylvian at his best. If you like your music to be thoughtful, timeless and engaging, this is the stuff for you. If you want something to tap your feet to, sitting on the M25 in your Audi, forget it. Now all I need to do is dissuade my wife from running off with Mr. Feiner (she is rather taken with his chiselled jaw, me thinks).

Beautiful...beautiful 4 July 2008
Format:Audio CD
Just bought this from samadhisound (great label btw!).

I have to say that the song "Dinah & The Beautiful Blue" is just about the most perfect song I've ever heard. It stops you in your tracks, and makes you listen - demands your attention.

Thomas Feiner's voice is so fantastic, and the strings are exquisite. I agree with David Sylvian, it IS a lost classic.

I'd recommend this album to anyone, it's hard to put into words, but this is a "proper" record. Wonderful, lush instrumentation, and I don't think there is an album around at the moment that comes close.

Exquisite.

Jen.

Remarkable 28 Jan 2009
By L. Sime
Format:Audio CD
Found this through Radio 3's Late Junction program. Of all the albums I have come across through Late Junction this is the best. Feiner's voice is haunting and both the songs and the arrangements are beautiful. Gets my highest possible recommendation.
