This is one of albums of 2012. It deals with some fairly heavy subject matter but makes for some truly beautiful music.

For sure Denison Witmer does not rock out to great degree on this latest album and The Ones Who Wait is very much in the vein of previous releases, in particular the excellent Are You A Dreamer album released a few years back.

Gentle melodies take grip with repeated plays and standout tracks include the upbeat Hold On,heartfelt Your Friend and the emotionally charged Every Passing Day.

Musically it centres around country-tinged folk whilst lyrically reflecting upon the recent passing of his father - it is clearly a very personal document of the last couple of years in Denisons life.

As the previous reviewer touches upon the vocals make or break work as sparse and crisp as this although a one star review seems very harsh. Witmer is a special talent indeed.

Check out Youtube, DW certainly deserves your time and effort.

Highly recommended.

Purchased on the strength of a review in Q magazine but have been extremely disspointed. Its the 'whiney' voice that dissapoints ruining what could be some decent acoustic tunes. After listening to it only twice this one is now filed away and is unlikley to be aired again. Purchase with caution.
