This set of the 1st 5 series arrived in 8 days packed loose in a large jiffy bag. Condition was OK though.
The DVD cases are designed for the Dutch market and most of the text is in Dutch on the boxes, but they ARE Region 2. However, when you open the cases the discs are labelled with numbers, so there is no doubt what "Serie 1 Disc 1" means.
Playing the disc starts on a screen defaulting to (Dutch) subtitles on. One click on Subtitles off, and the menu changes to Play or Scene select.
Select "play" and you get the original BBC programme and sound - no dubbing, no foreign titles. Considering the series was put onto DVD from a film print shot starting nearly 40 years ago, the 4:3 full screen ratio picture quality and Dolby 2 channel mono sound are more than acceptable.
I see no reason to pay 50-100% more to get Series 1-5 in English labelled boxes containing exactly the same films without the need for 1 click to turn off subtitles. (The English version offers English subtitle for Hard of hearing which defaults to OFF).
At around £50 this series packed for the Dutch market and un-dubbed is exceptional value and I recommend you to consider it.
