This Handbook is all I'll ever need when it comes to looking up a specific Pkmn. The top ten ways to take care of your Pkmn (Pokemon),FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions) and Check list at the end of the book are a nice touch. The begining of the book is awsome too. The cover of the book seems to attract many different ages of people to it. There is one thing about it - it doesn't have Mew, of course it might be before Mew's time or Maria S. Barbo may have only wanted the original Pkmn in it - the 150 characters. The only thing I'd change would be to put more stuff in the ending pages. Oh, and I love the pic. at the end of the book! Anyways, I rate The Official Pokemon Handbook like so : * * * * * - Five Stars!!!

Totally Wonderful Work, Maria S. Barbo! It's a great buy! - NavyBlu :)

The collectors edition is clearly better than the original edition, containing such gems as a sneak preview of Togepi. I found this book quite useful, but I thought that it could be improved in the following ways: 1. by telling you the level in which the Pokemon learns his attacks 2. by telling you more about how to beat the gym leaders. 3. by telling you which Pokemon can be found in which colour game. Otherwise I thought it was very good as it gives a clear description of each Pokemon (even MEW) and tells you how to pronounce their names. The only thing I found a little annoying was the way that it addresses you as a Pokemon Trainer inside the story - but that's my personal opinion! Otherwise it's great and worth the price.

Boring and Useless
V.dull and unformative, it doesn't even tell you what HM and TM moves the pokemon can learn. It has almost nothing to do with Pokemon Red, Blue or Yellow

The book tells you a lot about all the Pokemon
I chose to award the book 4 stars because some of the Pokemon names are not pronounced properly. The book also tells you about the attacks which you may not know about.
