Review

A great collection of questions, fun for all the family. The Carry On films are great for all the family to watch together, I was in the first Carry On film in 1958, the producers actually used my hotel in two of the films, I would have been in more Carry On films but I loved the theatre. I thought Joan Sims, Barbara Windsor, Bob Monkhouse and Frankie Howerd were very good actors. --Dora Bryan OBE (Carry On Sergeant)

This has been a wonderful time for me to read this book. It is a joy to read. It brought back a pile of happy memories of my life in the 'Carry On Pictures'. Good luck with the sales of the book. --Jack Douglas (Appeared in eight Carry On Films)

If you are a fan of the Cock Inn - this is a must for you! --Robin Askwith (Carry On Girls)

2.0 out of 5 stars Only for the real fanatic 25 Aug 2009
Format:Paperback
You would need to be a very devoted fan of the Carry On films and the actors in them to be able to answer most of the questions. There are a lot of questions that the general public would not know.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good challenge for Carry On fans 19 Dec 2011
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
I enjoyed this book but was surprised how bad I was on a lot of the questions. I wouldn't say I was a Carry On fanatic but I do enjoy these films - especially the early ones. And in the early 70's they started to decline in popularity.

Essentially this book is a great collection of a thousand questions, a good bit of fun if your a Carry On fan, and see how good your memory is.

The films worked because they had good scripts, great character actors (not stand-up comedians), uncomplicated plots, and cheeky comedy. My love of these films started when I was a kid and are Dad took us to see Carry On Sergeant.

The questions cover the films, the actors, true or false questions, infact every aspect of the Carry On films, even the ones that were never made ! True or false: a film called Carry On Spaceman was considered in 1962 ?
