all the voices seem a bit too high? like they are all on helium. tried it on 3 different machines. i think the video is playing a tiny bit faster than normal speed so it sounds off.
i have no idea how to fix it.
ok it seems like its only on the first 2 seasons. must be a bad ntsc conversion to pal. 24 frames to 25 resulted in a 4% speed increase. i recorded the audio and slowed it down in audacity and it sounds right.
really poor from them. seasons 3-5 dont have this problem. first 2 seasons are unwatchable due to this.

...a British TV series successfully made into a US version!
Obviously, there have been changes given the number of episodes produced each season, and the fact that it has proven so poular (now in its 8th season), but for those who would have liked more of the UK series this can't be bad.
Sit back and enjoy.

As I love the british version of this show I was a bit skeptical about the US version, but for this price I thought it was worth checking out and im pleased I did. This is a much goofier show than the british one with a lot more slapstick humour, and so it feels like your watching a comedy and not a proper documentary so the effect isnt really the same.
But on the plus side everything isnt crammed in to a couple of short seasons and so there are more characters and more time to get to know them. I cared a lot more about Pam and Jim for example than I did Dawn and Tim by the tim I was at season 3, and even Michael Scott has you routing for him a lot sooner than David Brent did. Best is Dwight though. He starts off a lot like Gareth in the british show, but he ends up leaving him for dust. Rain Wilson is the star of the show easy.
I hope a box set comes out soon in this price range for the last few sesaons because I cant wait to see whats coming next!

One of the best sitcoms ever!

Really funny
The first few episodes are less good than the British originals, but keep going in and it gets away from the Gervais/Merchant set-up and is a really funny series in its own right. Read more

Amazing TV.
