It. Is. Awesome.
I cannot explain the brilliance of this book. It's a great mix of the early Meomi books with fantastical illustrations and weird worlds but also some of the factual marine biology stuff of the TV series and associated books. Not only that, but it also includes a full and thorough diagram of the octopod, a glow-in-the-dark surprise and finally the limelight the vegimals deserve. If you love the 'Nauts just buy this book, don't think, just do it. You won't regret it.. oh and if you've got little people to read it to, so much the better.

Meomi have done it again. Whilst the family have all enjoyed the spin off television books the original Meomi books remain the firm favorites and this one will be no exception.

Little One and I are HUGE Vegimal fans and this book is all about how Shellington discovered them and how the Octonauts go on an adventure to show Tunip and his friends their natural habitat.

The illustrations are wonderfully detailed, particularly the opened-out Octopod (Fisher Price take note!) and have the soul and character that the TV books sadly lack.

Not sure whether this gem is going to stay hidden until Christmas - I think a half term treat is in order here!

With more Vegimals than you can shake a stick at, this Meomi book is a must for your Octonauts library, and I look forward to the next Meomi Octonauts book.

Stunning book with so much detail & information. Both my girls (4&6) love it. The glow in the dark page is simple awesome!! Perfect for reading to them but they also love to take it out themselves as there is so much on detail each page. Will definitely buy more from the Meomi collection

Meomi triumph once again in this beautifully illustrated hardback. While the influence of the TV show is evident in some places (the Gups are now named and coloured as per the show), it is only where it benefits the book and there is definitely no 'selling out'. The feel of the first four books remains completely intact: Barnacles is still without the full uniform he wears on TV for example.

If you or your children are Octonauts fans, the original Meomi works are essential reading and a pleasure from cover to cover.

My boys are big Octonauts fans and they LOVED this, especially my five year old - the illustrations are lovely. There is a big fold out diagram of the octopod and a glow in the dark page and lots and lots of details and things to spot.

Wow. We had gotten the books that were based on the TV series. This is 100 times better than what they were, although they served their purpose. We will have to get the rest of these books for our grandchildren. They - girl and boy - are very into the Octonauts - so they both are excited about these books.
