Excellent reading, could do with questions for specific subjects, not just a little of everything. Try the questions on your kids, interesting to see how standards have fallen, compared with the Maths they are doing for GCSE currently!

Nice book but some of the answers are wrong! 3 Feb 2011

I am a college lecturer so I got this to test my current HND class with some old-school maths questions.
They couldn't do them, so I went through them on the board - checked with the answers in the back - and the answers are wrong!
If anyone can do Q3a on P21 and Q10 on P26 and gets the same answers as those in the back then I'd like to see how you do it!

The book contains past questions from (amongst others) English, Geography, Home Economics (cookery!). I was impressed by how much I remember. It is interesting to contrast the language of the questions and the way that current GCSE questions are posed. Definitely a fun book to leave around, particularly when Grandad is visiting.

A trip down memory lane

This book is fantastic - a real reminder of my school days, although I seem to be able to answer the 'o' level questions far more easily these days!!! Read more

Good in places, quite dull after a bit

Some of the questions here really are howlers, but a lot of this is just much of a muchness and stops being entertaining. I wouldn't recommend it.
