Wow! I have read snippets of this book and what an amazing read! Margaret McMillan and her sister Rachel were real pioneers in early childhood education. This book gives a fascinating insight into life in the early 1900s.This book is great for anyone intersted in the history of early years and anyone like myself doing an early years degree.

this was a fabulous opportunity to read the original text of one of the pioneers of pre school education. so much of what McMillan wrote almost a century ago resonates with contemporary child care, education and health. i have read out some of the text to undergraduate students as a teaching tool. Highly recommended
