When we produced the first Nursery Rhyme Collection album of this series (Volumes 1 & 2) the aim was to record children's music in a new, interesting and different way. We set out to introduce children to real musical instruments and various styles and genres of popular music; both current and historic. The result was the most ambitious Nursery Rhymes album ever recorded with an overwhelming response from children and parents alike. With this success of the first product we decided to record another Nursery Rhymes Collection (Volumes 3 & 4), featuring a further 67 traditional and popular Nursery Rhymes and Children's Songs with a few brand new songs included too. This new double CD collection was recorded with a passion and with even more attitude. It features popular Folk, Pop, Rock, Reggie & Dance styles and even a splash of Hip Hop. Of course we also retained some quiet elements with smooth acoustic tracks featuring real instruments such as mandolin, banjo, violin, flute, trumpet, piano, acoustic guitars and many more. The recordings took almost a year to complete and they produced some of the finest musical performances that have ever been heard on a children's album. An amazing 159 minutes of playing time on 2 CDs; an extensive list of great titles providing plenty of listening pleasure for both young and old. This product is perfect for children's parties, background music for the child to play to as well as that long car journey and if you liked the first Nursery Rhyme Collection then you will simply love this one!
About the Artist
33 top quality musicians create a masterpiece. This product was developed to create a better quality of musical experience for the Producers own children and as a follow on to the highly successful previous release (Volume 1 & 2 - Also available on Amazon). This album contains recorded performances from high-class musicians from many different backgrounds and styles including the worlds of Rock 'n' Roll, Indie, Pop, Modern, Bluegrass, Irish Folk, Blues and Rock-a-Billy. Musicians from the ever popular 'Tribute Genre' were invited to perform including musicians from Beatles, Kinks, Pink Floyd and Whitesnake tribute bands. Singer-Song writers from original bands including The Andy Whittle Band, Lucca and lalala provided fresh performances as well as a few original and brand new children's songs written especially for this album. On this album we were delighted and honoured to guest feature the one and only Jess Conrad OBE of sixties fame as well as respected Rap Artist Duke01 providing a performance! Finally, many of the albums orchestral arrangements were undertaken by a serious classical arranger and a pipe organist! All of these skills bring together many flavours of various types of music all performed by the best musicians available.

My two year old adores the first collection of nursery rhymes The Nursery Rhyme Collection - 33 Musicians Create A Nursery Rhymes Masterpiece (2 CD's) (and to be honest, so do I!). I found it hard to envisage which nursery rhymes would make up the second collection on CD. A further 67 rhymes was an amazing feat. I enjoy the fact (as I did with the last collection) that it is real music. This may sound silly but it genuinely feels like you're at a gig, that's perhaps the best way to describe it. If in doubt, check them out on the internet because it is really worth experiencing the sounds.
In places, this collection has become a bit song based. By this I mean the first collection is fast paced and highly entertaining. However as my son is only 26 months it may just be that the first CD is more suited to his age group and in maybe six months or so the songs on this new CD will appeal more. There are many on there that he certainly knows now but the style of these songs is so original (and thank goodness for that) that he doesn't quite recognise the rhyme being sung.
I can't rate these musicians highly enough. They've produced two high quality CDs that take nursery rhymes to a different level. I'm certain for example that track 15 from CD2 was inspired by Pink Floyd. By using a range of musical genres it is a great way to introduce your child to compositions that take the rhymes they love and turns them into music.

Wow!
What can I say, if only all kids CDs were like this. I absolutely love it! I have a copy of the The Nursery Rhyme Collection 1 (which is nearly worn out now from playing it so much) that my kids along with my wife and myself love to have playing in the car and at home. So when I managed to get the 2nd collection I was over the moon. (and so were the kids!) The quality of the musical performances is amazing with a real diverse range of styles, so being a musian myself I feel my kids are not only having great fun when listening to these albums, but they're also being educated!
When is the 3rd gonna be avaliable?!

It's ok
Tried to listen this CD with my 6 months old daughter and it is ok. She is not really keen on this CD. She preferes far more the Sing and Learn. Read more

Just as good as the first CD!
After listening to the first CD so much we had to buy the second volume! We were not dissapointed and now we can have some in the car and some in the house - perfect!
