I'd expect better from North Face 5 Mar 2012

The build quality didn't meet my expectations, the stitching around the logo at the heel was shoddy and there was glue around a lot of the joins. The neck of the boot began to dig in and feel uncomfortable after about 10 minutes of trying them on around my house and the sizing a tad on the small side too. For a mid-range hiking boot that is comfortable and performs well I'd recommend Berghaus instead. I returned these North Face boots and got me a pair of Berghaus Women's WMNS Explorer Ridge Hiking Boot and haven't looked back!

Got these boots for a great price so review probably reflects this. There were few comparable boots at the time for this price so made sense to buy these. (I see they are now �120) Bought these for hill walking and general outdoor activity. They are well made and sturdy. They have good ankle support and are quite high. Takes a few wears to break them in but are now very comfy. Waterproof and suitable for uneven terrain. No complaints.
