1.0 out of 5 stars Don't buy these gloves for warmth 19 Jan 2014
By Stephanie - Published on Amazon.com
please do not buy these gloves if you're looking for something to keep your hands warm. I live in Oregon where the temperatures are mild (usually around the 40's in the winter) and I bought them to keep my hands warm on my very short (1/4 mile) bike ride to work, as well as on short (2 mi) runs. They are useless. They don't block the cold, wind or the rain. The e-tip works great, but so does my finger when it's ungloved, which is essentially what you'll be if you buy them.

North Face is usually a very reliable brand, which is why I went with these instead of some others.
Bad job North Face. I expected so much more.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not as Warm as I Expected 19 Jan 2014

I own a few North Face products and have been very pleased with the level of warmth and comfort that the products provide. While I really like the look and feel of these gloves, I found that they are not as warm as I expected, especially around the fingertip area. I would only recommend these gloves for Fall or mild cold weather.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not very warm 10 Jan 2014

I bought for my wife and she will likely not be able to use the gloves to stay warm. Yes the E-Tip portion of the glove is effective but they do not keep her hands warm. We had a recent snow and she was outside for about 15 minutes cleaning up some snow and her hands were freezing!

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for cell phone use - Bad for keeping warm. 6 Dec 2013

These are okay if your constantly fiddling with your cell phone, but they do a poor job of keeping my hands warm. They are very well constructed. A little on the thin side, and could us some Thinsolate lining for warmth. They look snazzy and all that, but I've gone back to my worn out Isotoners. I started to get another pair of Isotoners, but the idea of not having to take off a glove to answer the phone convinced me I should by the Etip glove. Mistake.
