bought these. they were quite comfortable. but the sole came off after wearing them 5 times ... sent them back

I had to balance my actual needs (light walker but needed 100% waterproof, windproof as possible to keep my feet warm , breathable and not too heavy but as cheap as I could get them) with what I would really like (100% waterproof, breathable, gortex lined and the lightest boot on the market). This is what I bought but boy I am pleased with many of the factors. The gortex lined boot is fabulous and my feet have not got wet when others around me have - Walking along the windy beach (waves crashing so walking in the sea) in Middlesborough in October - Raining all week in Disney Paris in Februray and long grassy walks in wet April. The boots have kept me dry and warm - I wear a thin pair and a thick pair of normal socks. I read a comment about the sole coming off but I have had no issues in six months and they are not too heavy either. I really do love these boots - much more flexible and friendly than anything I have owned before. Most pleased!

A pair of nice, lightweight boots.
It was a little uncomfortable in the first few days, but then got used to it.
Unfortunately it slips too easy on ice, hard snow, wet tiles and wet metal surfaces.
It's still a good buy at a reasonable price.
