Not perfect, but very, very good 3 Dec. 2013

This pack seems to have endless room for adding more stuff. I had been using a northface men's rec on pack and find that this one, sized for women, fits my frame better, is easy to wear with no loss of carrying capacity - just feels better balanced when i am wearing it. This was a surpirse to me, was not sure the women's fit would make much difference, but it does! I gave the pack a '4 star' instead of '5 star' because of the following two annoying things:
1. The key fob/clip is on a grograin ribbon inside an inner pocket. It is poorly placed and gets hung ip in the pocket zipper, a real pain;
2. The side pockets intended for holding a water bottle do not hold my bottle (falls out all the time). I use a stainless camelbak thermos that is wider at the bottom, and i expect it to stay put. Prefer a toggle or adujstment on these pockets, or some way to secure the bottle without having to replace it with a bottle of a different shape or material.
So, it is not a perfect apxok, but is darm good!

First time north face buyer 27 July 2013

I've been wanting a North Face backpack for a pretty long time now and I finally got it! yaay!!! lol
It's everything I want in a bagpack plus more.
It's extremely comfortable and very supportive. I stuffed this bagpack with a full sized text book and it didn't strain my back at all. I got sick of using my purse as a way to haul my note and text books around on campus and I'm so glad I switched over.
The overall quality of this backpack is top notch.
It comes with many pockets, which is ideal if your into organization, which I am.
The laptop pocket is also a neat addition too. I normally just use it to carry my ipad around.
Basically it's a perfect all around backpack and worth every penny!

Great! 29 May 2014

I love the size, it holds my huge text books and doesn't look terribly bulky on. The fabric is sturdy and I was really impressed with the laptop pocket which is padded on all sides, with an extra bumper (thing?) on the bottom which protects my laptop from when I frequently set my backpack down in a hurry, too hard. Plenty of pockets and room and the grey and beach glass color look really nice. Just as pictured!

Comfortable 19 Feb. 2014

I love this backpack. I have been using this as my college bag. It's not very big, but I like that because it really fits to my body well. There are numerous pockets and compartments throughout. The side pockets fits a 16oz water bottle. I usually carry an umbrella in the other one. I would recommend this to others.

Built tough and durable 18 Jun. 2014

Not a cheap backpack, but worth paying some money for. It just keeps holding things. It might seem a little small (not a huge range of expansion), but you can fit quite a bit of stuff in. Planning to use it for holding school textbooks, supplies, personal stuff, and maybe some lunch. I'm convinced it will do the job well. The safety whistle is a nice touch as well!
