Fans of the band will welcome this package as it contains an excellent overview of Blaze Bayley's work as a solo artist, with just the occasional nod to his Iron Maiden days. The band, and it is a band, are on top form, the sound is live, and picky people might be able to see chances for overdubbing that have, thankfully, been passed by.
Forceful, Melodic Metal.

Solid Live Release

Can't believe no-one has written a review for this yet. Since his departure from Iron Maiden, Blaze has managed to create an impressive body of work. Four "solo" albums and one live album prior to this live release. Each a stong heavy metal statement (and criminally overlooked), Blaze has managed to forge his own sound and has stood fast to his ideals. This live album, released on his own label, is no different. All I can say is "SOLID" on all fronts. Blaze and the band deliver the goods for his fans. For fans of Iron Maiden the punishing live version of Edge of Darkness is worth the price of admission alone. This album recorded mere months after the passing of his wife is a proud live document worthy of any head-bangers collection, and if you listen to the on-stage banter at the end , you really begin to understand this man's dedication to his music and to his fans. Worthy of your respect, and worthy of your support.
