Although it took me longer than Neil Casey suggests to rid myself of my nicotene problem (he says a few days it took me a month) once its gone its gone. I have tried probably 40 times to give up before using everything from nicotene patches to the Alan Carr method. It will cost you very little in terms of money or time to read this book and its very likely it will save your life.

I have tried to quit smoking so many times over the years, I have tried every product on the market without success. The only thing I hadn't tried was reading a book, so I went on Amazon and browsed through the many stopping smoking books, when one particular book caught my eye Neil Casey's The nicotine Trick. I ordered the book and began to read it. I know this might sound stupid and I couldn't actually believe it myself but this book is amazing, you actually don't want to smoke, the desire to pick up a cigarette disappears. I haven't had a cigarette for over 3 weeks I have no cravings, I feel wonderful. My husband read the book and has also stopped, he is surrounded by smokers at work and he finds himself loathing cigarettes. Don't just take our word for it, if you want to quit buy the book it is brilliant. The man is a genius.

After 40 years of smoking for me and 55 for my husband we can't believe how we just stopped after reading this book. Have bought extra copies to give to friends and relatives and so far 2 have stopped and the rest haven't finished reading it yet. The book is written with humour and friendliness, very quickly you feel that it has been written by a good friend. Once I started to read it I couldn't put it down. Reading this book has changed my life. There is so much I could say in praise of this book but would need more space to do it.

I lost my mother last year to a particularly nasty strain of lung cancer, brought about by years of smoking 20-odd a day. Naturally I saw this as the ideal reason to give up smoking, but attempts with willpower alone didn't work. I knew of two friends who gave up after reading The Nicotine Trick, so I gave it a shot.
Halfway through reading the book I removed my nicotine patch and consigned the remainder of the pack in the bin. This book is totally effective, without tricking you or shocking you or repulsing you into quitting. It simply tells you the FACTS about nicotine and the other chemicals in a cigarette. I haven't smoked since (nearly two weeks), and I have no desire to start again - even when out on the lash. My brother has packed in the weed after reading it too, and I've got a list of people to lend it to as long as my arm.
Why do smoking cessation clinics give out patches and put people on powerful antidepressants before giving out this book?
On a more practical note, I read this book in one sitting of about 3 hours, and it's plain to understand (there are one or two typos but nobodys perfect). The end bit is more useful if you are still smoking at the time - I didn't read it cos I had already stopped for a couple of days and didn't have any fags in.
I will probably need to read this one more time just to consolidate the facts in my head - but I'm certain I won't smoke again.

I have smoked for 20 years (gulp!) I did manage not to for 18 months, after reading Allen Carr, now I know why I started again. This is a brilliant book. It approaches the subject from a very different angle than usual, and once you have read this book I think it would be really difficult to ever want a cigarette again. I cant see I ever will! You realise you've been conned, you realise its futile, but more importantly, this time you know why you've been smoking before, and your subconscious does too. Thoroughly recomended.

Time and time again i've tried giving up smoking but have failed miserably every time. This was until I read Neil Casey's "The Nicotine Trick". Instead of the usual scare tactics used by many authors of smoking cessation books, this one actually trains your subconscious to stop for you. It's not about motivation. After all, you don't need motivation to stop yourself from falling down holes, do you? It's about explaining a little known fact about nicotine. Don't expect to be let into the secret immediately. Neil Casey keeps you hanging on until near the end. I read it in a day and haven't even thought of a cigarette for 4 days now. It's so simple, you'll wonder why you didn't stop before.

If you are thinking about buying a book to help you stop smoking - THEN LOOK NO FURTHER. This is the best on the market. I have smoked heavily for over 30 years and have now been nicotine free for nearly four months. I highly recommend purchase of this book.

I didn't want to rush into a review that one probably couldn't trust, because if someone has only just given up, they may not have really given up.

one chapter into this book I realised I didn't need to smoke... 5 months have passed, at no point have I craved a cigarette. Why? Because this book shows you how nicotine effects you and once you know this you won't want to smoke.

I didn't even want to giv eup. I read a couple of other books to please my girlfriend. They only made me more resolute about smoking. This one didn't.

I can't stress this enough, buy this book... It works, really works.

It sounds like lies, but you don't need nicotine replacement, you don't need withdrawals; all you need to know is the nicotine trick.
