Book Description

4 Sep 2003 Conversations with God
Neale Donald Walsch's profound conversation with God continues with a New Revelation - brought to us at a time when we need it most. This life-changing book offers some possible, penetrating answers to the questions of our day, providing the tools to pull ourselves out of despair and towards a new world vision.

Addressing the zeitgeist following the tide of events of September 11th, we are shown that the violence, loss, sorrow and terror of our world cannot be eliminated through political or economic action, but only by changing our beliefs.

Five fallacies about life, combined with the five fallacies about God, continue to feed a deadly misconception that leads to devastating world events governed by violence and crisis. Through challenging the fallacies of our beliefs we can move forward, building at last a new world of peace and harmony based on our new, true beliefs about God and life.

5.0 out of 5 stars Astounding 8 Mar 2006
Format:Paperback
Please please ignore the negative bleatings from the institutionalised Christian reviewers you've already read! You need to approach these books with an open mind that they clearly do not have. If you do, you'll be challenged and mindblown at the same time. This book began a process that changed my entire life! I hate religious dogma and so does God, it seems! Read all the 'Conversation with God' books and see for yourself that he/she (God) is alive and DOES care about our struggles and DOES want to help us back on the right track in a modern and refreshingly helpful way. If you can't see that when you read these books, then you're part of the reason why this world is in such a sad and sorry state...

5.0 out of 5 stars Healing For Our Planet 4 Jan 2003
Format:Hardcover|Verified Purchase
In this dialogue, God explains the 5 fallacies about Him and life upon which men created false beliefs that brought our world into such a state of chaos. He urges us then to change them if what we claim to experience on this earth is a life of peace, love wealth and harmony for everyone of us. The message of hope is that it is not to late to heal our planet but we have to act now!
I trully enjoyed reading this book, I laughed and cried about some truths and felt understood at last. I now know without any doubt that my dreams are limiteless and that I can live without fear. As a result of that I have also read the trilogy of "Conversation With God" from the same author and offered to my friends a few copies of both "The New Revelations" and the trilogy "CWG". I see my life as a gift and I am determined to enjoy every peace of it and I wish the same to you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another step ... 11 Jan 2003
Format:Hardcover
Here again, is another opportunity for 'you' to have a conversation with God. Yes, they are Neale's questions but the answers apply to each one of us. Neale asks about the current situation on planet Earth and our evolution "from the kindergarten to young adolescence". We could be likened to a child being given a large delicate object for Christmas ... what will be the outcome? These New Revelations are not the rulebook, they are not the way, "merely another way". Read, smile and understand; 'The New Revelations', the 'Five Steps to Peace' and the simple definition of you ... the SOUL.
This is an invitation to hold hands, with your future, to re-member and remember.

Several years and several best-selling books after their first conversation, God and Neale Donald Walsch are still at it. And I for one still benefit hugely from the SANITY AND CLARITY of this writing, especially after September 11th.
After so many books in the Conversations With God series, thoughts of "re-hash for a bit more money in the bank" almost inevitably cross one's mind, but this is inappropriate and unnecessarily cynical. Yes, I am a big big fan of all the books and am therefore completely biased in their favour!
In The New Revelations the dialogue with God revolves around the crisis of humanity on Earth today, with the underlying main theme being that a spiritual crisis is the fundamental cause of our individual and collective problems. God and Neale suggest that our deepest beliefs must be changed before our behaviour can change. Organized religion takes a bit of a hammering here, although as always in the CWG books there is an embracing of the best of traditional religion while suggesting some fundamental shifts that need to be made if humanity is to survive and prosper.
Virtually all the Big Religious Books (Bible, Qur'an etc.) are quoted to demonstrate how man has created God in his own image, a creation which is then used to justify condemning or killing others who hold different beliefs to one's own.

5.0 out of 5 stars Conversations with God 1 Dec 2003
By A Customer
Format:Paperback
Do you believe everyhing you are told, are you been spoon fed your believes because its easier than to question, then this is not the book for you.
This book was read to me by a man dying of self persecution, HIV positive with a history of addiction. He clutched the book as if he had found the holy grail. Finally, a book that does not persecute him personally, actually it only points the finger at those who have misinterpreted God's Word, and that is ...........lets face it ......everyone in our past. Hopefully this book gives a person the abiltiy to look at what has been told to them as children but be able to question their parents with an adult's voice

4.0 out of 5 stars Really a revelation 4 Jan 2004
Format:Paperback|Verified Purchase
Another excellent book in the series - although it can also stand alone - giving us an idea of a way forward out of the mire of retribution attacks and the downward spiral of morale in the world of today. There are some truly startlingly intuitive revelations (where you really think to yourself "I knew that - but I wouldn't have known that I did if I hadn't read it here!") and a lot of good stuff to think about.
Some of it takes quite a bit of courage to accept, and some is going to take a lot of courage to live. And, of course, knowing our politicians, none of it will ever be expressed in policy. But we can always push...
I have marked this down by one star because Mr Walsch's style and comments in the book often really irritated me and got in the way of God's answers. I wish I could hear him as clearly as Neale does, then I wouldn't have to go via his books!! The fundamentals, statmements and theories still resonate strongly with me, so I still read him.
