26 April 2012 The Hueys

Introducing the Hueys – a fabulously quirky group of characters in a hilarious new series from internationally bestselling, award-winning author/illustrator, Oliver Jeffers, creator of How to Catch a Star and Lost and Found.

The thing about the Hueys is that they are all the same. They all look the same, think the same and do the same things. Until one day, Rupert knits himself a new jumper…

How will the other Hueys react?

A hilarious story about individuality.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant new book from Oliver Jeffers! 26 April 2012
By Class 2
Format:Hardcover|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book is about getting a new jumper and how that makes you different. The Hueys start as all the same then one makes himself a jumper which makes him unique. Then they all had the same jumper. What else could the Hueys wear to make them different from each other?
This is a good book that teaches children that being different/unique is a good thing.
We would recommend this book to everyone because it is so brilliant and we love all of the Oliver Jeffers books!

4.0 out of 5 stars Good fun if short 29 Jan 2013
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
My three year old loved this. We had to read it over and over again for a week or two. The drawings are quirky and fun and the story has a moral about conformity and the desire to stand out from the crowd. It does look as if Jeffers knocked it off in a few minutes but I guess that's part of the charm!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book for good discussion 16 Jan 2013

Really like this picture book, I purchased it for use in an assembly at school and it was fantastic. The simple illustrations and apparently simple text engaged the children and the theme encouraged lots of great discussion about not fitting in, being brave, being different to your friends etc.

Shared it at home and loved it again!

Not as good as other Oliver Jeffers' books. The illustrations were dull in design and colour and not so interesting.

2.0 out of 5 stars The new jumper
It is a different style to Oliver's previous books so it wasn't what I was expecting. However, it is still a good book with an underlying moral message
