Product Description

Alex Mooney hasn’t seen his friend Mila since she disappeared twelve years ago. Now she’s turned up on his doorstep looking for a place to stay. Both of them know Alex’s wife and brother-in-law won’t be as happy as he is to see Mila.

A quiet and introverted man, Alex’s life is a world away from Balkan gun-running and Mexican drug dealers, but these appear to be the reasons for Mila’s return.

The New Goodbye is a novel about memory, love and the implications of the choices we make, or it’s about guns, sex and death, depending on your point of view.

“This is a beautiful book, and an absolute bargain at this
price. It's a literary novel in the best tradition, making you
re-evaluate your own relationships in the wake of the story;
what would you do differently, if you realised this was your
last chance to say goodbye to someone you love? Thought-
provoking yet delicate in its prose style. Stunning.”
- Aliya Whiteley

--------------------------------------

a quien amamos?

estilo. Es asombrosa."
- Aliya Whiteley

I've read this in several incarnations, and enjoyed it each time. It's a blend of allegory and thriller that works to create rich, thoughtful world. Highly recommended.

One of those books you can't stop reading.

The characters are all completely believable to the point you find yourself wondering about them days later. I was absolutely hooked from beginning to end, proper 'just one more page until two o' clock in the morning' stuff. Like some other reviewers, you'd get a whole other perspective by reading it a second time as well.

If you like the kind of book where you can't wait to see how all the threads are going to weave together (you know they are, but how?!) it couldn't come more highly recommended.
