A young mother, Sandra Jones, goes missing from her South Boston home, leaving behind her four year old daughter. The police immediately start to suspect her secretive husband, Jason, who was at work, at the time of the disappearance.
I thought this book just plodded for the first 150 pages. I was thinking that it was a thriller without the thrills. Also, it was hard to relate to the main characters of the Jones family, as we know so little about them. Sandra goes missing very early on, husband, Jason is as cold as ice, and the daughter, Ree is
just a kid.
However, as the book progressed, I started to enjoy it, as more details about the characters, and their strange family life was revealed. Overall, I thought the novel was a solid read, but by no means outstanding.
