Product Description

Product Description

The spellbook is basically a "companion" book to the "Necronomicon". "The Necronomicon" talks about Sumerian magick and occult spells, formulas, and myths, all of which are supposedly very scary and dangerous to practice. The spell book distills everything and serves as a sort of safe guide for practicing what's in the "Necronomicon". Apparently the spell book is pretty short and very out there. It's more likely something that only those who have read the "Necronomicon" will pick up.

About the Author

Simon is a student of magic, occultism, and religion since the mid-1960s and the editor of the Necronomicon. Simon was a frequent lecturer for the famed Warlock Shop in Brooklyn and the Magickal Childe Bookstore in Manhattan for more than ten years before his sudden disappearance in 1984, speaking on topics as diverse as religion and politics, occultism and fascism, ceremonial magic, demonolatry, the Tarot, the Qabala, and Asian occult systems. An ordained priest of an Eastern Orthodox Church, Simon has appeared on television and radio discussing such topics as exorcism, Satanism, and Nazism. The media events he organized in the 1970s and 1980s -- with rock bands, ritual performances, and celebrity appearances -- helped to promote the "occult renaissance" in New York City. After decades of study in European, Asian, and Latin American cult centers, this book marks his first public appearance in more than twenty years.

Be Careful! 5 Feb 2000
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book is simple, yet to the point. In other words, you could do a lot of harm to others and to your self without putting in that much effort. It's a good resource of information, but I'd urge newcommers to read Buckland's Complete Book Of Witchcraft or The very informative Witchcraft Bible before purchasing this.

A prime volume for the experianced Witch.

I've been practicing magic(k) for the past eleven years and must confess that this little book came to me as a coincidence (?); while the Necronomicon itself is a fake grimoire, over the years it has accumulated so much energy that by just drawing the sigils and conjuring the spells one can feel that something happens, This book is not for the beginner; one has to have a background in Ceremonial Magick (you're dealing with "entities" here) as the book does not mention casting the circle, the banning of evil energies and so on. Wiccans, if you're an eclectic witch, go for it, you'll find interesting, otherwise, keep away from it. As it recalls some Sumerian demons names you may like to study Sumerian beliefs before you start.

A Real Powerful Book 3 April 1999
By A Customer
Format:Mass Market Paperback
This book really works I have owned it for a week now and done a few spells most of them worked. The only one that didn't work yet maybe it will who knows. It is a good book for someone who knows what they are doing other good books are Modern Magick by: Donald Michael Kraig, Summoning Spirits by: Konstanios, and The Necronomicon by: Simon. This book is not a toy and is to be taken seriously. I would suggest not to use it for evil because you won't get to enjoy what you did and your family and friends will suffer. If you have any questions or need help e-mail me.
