If you want an easier introduction then you might like to try Lynda Dahl's books based on the Seth readings. Take these in the order in which she wrote them: Beyond The Winning Streak, Ten Thousand Whispers finishing with The Wizards Of Consciousness.
If you want background Seth material then try The Seth Material and Seth Speaks.
The Nature Of Personal Reality is not the easiest of books. Seth does not talk down to those expecting new age, simplistic or unthinking presentation. However it is readable, interesting and practical.
Seth explains how our beliefs affect what happen to us. We create what we perceive, individually and collectively. He tells how to identify limiting beliefs and how to change our way of thinking. I've tried over the last few years and any problems have been mine not of Seth's teaching.
Seth explains the how and why of the physical world. There is so much more on metaphysics in his other books, some of it quite difficult to understand and come to terms with. Nonetheless it is worth studying. If the serious side of this metaphysics interests you, then you may wish to read Norman Friedman's books: Bridging Science And Spirit and The Hidden Domain. This material is very deep, touching on philosophy and quantum physics, but don't let that put you off the practicalities! You don't need to understand physics to choose the TV channels you want to watch or the reality you want to create.Read more ›
When reading the Amazon.com reviews of books which purport to offer insights into the truer nature of our shared reality, I am often intrigued by the variety of opinions on their merit. It seems that there are as many answers to which book is the most profound as there are books. A good many people for example would cite the Bible as being the most profound and the best. Many others might suggest the Koran, the Vedic Texts or any number of religious, New Age or Scientific books. It seems that each field of human thought, be it religion, science or philosophy have their own truths - truths which are often in contradiction of others.
So what is the best, most profound book to read if one is to better understand our shared reality? Perhaps the best criteria by which to judge such a book would be that it is able to intelligently bridge the seeming divide between science and religion, between the objective world of facts and the subjective world of faith. The SETH series of books accomplishes this task like no other. These books collectively provide the deepest, most profound source of information as to how our shared reality functions. And 'The Nature of Personal Reality' is, I believe, the philosophical centrepiece of all the SETH books. In short, 'The Nature of Personal Reality' is nothing short of revolutionary. It will stand the test of time.
