I bought 8 of these books for friends. Within a few months I lost 20 lbs. This book is great with helping to understand how to divide the food groups up and how much to eat. I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes. Because of this book, I do not have to take medication. If you get a digital scale and weigh everyday, you will see everyday ounces to lbs come off. This book kept my interest in reading it. It explains how and why blood sugars go up and down. I would highly suggest this book for anyone struggling with weight. It is easy and I never felt deprived. Also I have kept the weight off for a year now.
