About the Author

Charles Saatchi has been one of the moving forces of the modern age. Founder of the global advertising agency and the most important art collector of our time, he has vigorously shaped the contemporary art scene while contradictorily remaining a reclusive, even elusive figure. Saatchi was selected by the BBC as one of 60 'New Elizabethans' who have most influenced the past 60 years. His previous bestselling books include Babbble, Be The Worst You Can Be and My Name Is Charles Saatchi and I'm An Artoholic in which he answered questions from journalists, critics and members of the public with brutally frank candour

Each time I read this book, I learn something fascinating through the eyes of a detached observer, who adds enough personal observation to draw you into subjects that educate and entertain.

He's much better in writing than (I'm told) in person. Keen and witty. Amazing snaps.

I loved it but I bought it for my daughter's father in law for christmas. He took one look at it and said 'Is this the Charles Saatchi who attacked Nigella Lawson?" I had to say yes but went on to say that I had bought it for him long before we knew the worst about Saatchi and the book is only to do with his art life and his notes on extraordinary sights! He still looked dubious and I haven't seen him yet but I do hope he manages to open it!
