I have just finished Angie's book and I am extatic. This is the journey of a mother who faces a situation that no mother would ever like to face, who does the best for her son, who is there for him until the end and who shines bright with wisdom. I would recommend this book to anyone - whether they face the challenge that she did or not. She gives us a remarkable lesson of love and healing. She underlines what I believe fiercely: we all have healing power and should use it for our own benefit and for that of others. But her book goes much beyond that. It touches upon more profound truths.
It also tackles a taboo about seriously ill people: they are not dying, they are living people who fight a disease and should be given hope and support regardless of the ultimate outcome. Thank you Mrs Buxton-King for challenging our society who turns its back on illness and suffering and for giving such a message of hope and love. Thank you also for transforming the hospital view on complementary treatment such as healing. We need more people like her to make this world a better one. And I am joining in :-)
