I bought this to use with my Music degree. I love the way the paper is laid out giving plenty of space for writing notes or words for songs as well as three staves for music. Plus the attractive cover makes me feel inspired! Because of the size (it is like a thin exercise book), it is very portable so I can jot down ideas on the bus. Recommended!

And this is the one to get.
I carry this book wherever I go, and thanks to its simple layout of staves and writing space, I can easily refer to my ideas. The paper is good quality, and the quotes on each page are inspirational. I love its antique look, but it never tries to be over-the-top with the art design, or over-commanding with its sectioning.
This book is good for orchestral writing, but i feel it's aimed at more pop song writing. Each page is largely manuscript, and has 10 guitar chord diagrams, and below, two groups of staves containing the following: a treble clef stave (for the melodies), then some writing space below (presumably for the lyrics, but I use this space for my notes), a treble/bass stave, and lastly a tablature stave.
All in all, a fancy looking notebook that does its job.
