Billed as being a collection of actual murders supposedly caught on CCTV, web cams and personal hand held DV's and if you have no prior knowledge of Toetag Pictures then it would be quite easy to get fooled by these well marketed claims. There were times whilst watching that i found myself asking: Is this real? Although it's not hollywood style acting/directing it's very convincing and believable.
The segment titled Execution was flawlessly done and looks like genuine snuff with excellent special effects and smart camera techniques being employed by the master of underground cinema Fred Vogel. Swinging from this level of adrenaline pumping excitement we then plummet into the realms of Big Brother with the camera isolated on absolutely nothing with only the mind numbing sounds of silence; despite this philosophy being used to add authenticity to the events being depicted, it was an extremely boring experience and, personally, i found myself whistling tunes in my mind and wishing i was doing something else.
All of the segments of psuedo-murder are threaded together by a character calling himself Balan and some of the psychological points this individual shares with the viewer equal the depraved acts being committed: fascinating and/or ridiculous.
Definitely purchase if you're a fan of Fred Vogel's Toetag Pictures; or, you want to fool a few mates into thinkng that you've got your hands on some genuinely nasty snuff, then sit back and enjoy watching their faces contort with sheer horror: it really is a good slice of twisted fun.
