This book has been in print with various revisions since the 1960s, so more recent versions have kept pace with the most fundamental changes to motor car technology.
I love this book! It's great for children and adults alike as it describes all the systems of a car such as engine, transmission, brakes etc in a really easy to understand way with excellent cutaway illustrations. I had been working on my own cars for over 10 years when I bought this book but still found it fascinating.
Buy an old edition for the now quaint-looking 1960s drawings or a more modern edition for information appropriate to modern cars.
