What a gorgeous book, I was in tears part way through. My daughter is 2 and it could have been written about her, she even has curly hair and dark eyes like the little girl in the story. A really beautiful way to explain to little ones about their birth and helps their older brothers and sisters understand better too. Will make you see birth family in a more sympathetic light, which can only help your precious child. Buy it and i dare you not to cry - impossible!!!

Our (adopted) daughter found this book very helpful in defining her own identity and how she fits into our family. She often goes back to it and raises the issues it addresses in conversation. Excellent!
