I don't think I can add much to the other reviewers, except an apology to Lisa. You could say I grew up with her music but haven't listened to her for awhile. I knew this album was around but kept putting off buying it, wondering if I would still enjoy her music the way I once had. All I can say is I regret having waited so long. Her voice is as superb as always and this is a good collection of tracks that test her range. If you like Lisa, you're bound to like this. And track two, 'Treat me like a woman', is bound to put a smile on every woman's face.

I`ve counted the days: release of this album. And promised my brother everything for sending it to Germany. And it was worth it - every single day. The music, arrangement & the lyrics - TOP!Lisa is still "the right thing". Every track is so heart-warming-sung and special that it`s impossible to choose only one favourite. I love: "He touches me" `cause it reminds me of my boyfriend:-))

The combination of Lisa and Trevor Horn is sensational. I wouldn't have thought she could better anything she's done before but this is it. The quality of production with Lisa's voice is wonderful. Even for those who aren't fans would be converted listening to this album. However, I am amased that it hasn't been given more air-time here in the UK. I can't stop playing it. Look forward to seeing her perform it live.

I just received this Cd today and, let me tell you, it is incredible! Each and every song is a catchy confection of pop/r&b/ and occasionally jazz. the first track and single "Easier" is a slow and sultry soul jam. From there, it just gets better and better. Every song is memorable from the first listen . I don't think Lisa has ever made anything less than a good album, but this one is great, and on par with her self titled '97 album. For a change, only 5 of the 12 tracks are co-written by Lisa. The result is the perfect Lisa Stansfield album with an excellent production by Trevor Horn. Lisa deserves a hit out of this one.

I have been a fan of Lisa's for years. I tend to like the CD's that may have not been the most popular ones. In the case of Lisa I have always stated that "So Natural" was my favorite album.
That has now changed. I cannot believe how great of a CD this is. The emotion is amazing, the production superb and the songs are all hits. Lisa you have made a classic gem that I will cherish for years. This is definetly one of my top 10 favorite CD's of all time. If you love Pop/R&B then YOU NEED this CD. Favorite tracks...When Love Breaks Down, Say It To Me Now, The Moment, IF I HADN'T GOT YOU (Release this one next!), Love Without A Name.

Lisas 2nd album is one of my all time favourite albums of all time..after that i thought they where a bit hit and miss..more miss than hit!!

i didnt even know this album has been released..but when i saw it was produced by trevor i decided to get a copy!!! nothing to loose..as it was a bargain price!!!

and i have to say i would not begrudge paying the full price..for it is amazing...maybe her best album ever!!!

the opening track "easier" is simply stunning! it may not only be one of her best recording but maybe one of the best songs ever!!! it takes precisely 15 seconds to know this is a classic track! along the lines of "all woman" but 100 times better!

"treat me like a woman" picks up the tempo and is full of attitude! im thinking gwen stefani!!! another amazing track!

"when love breaks down" was one of my favourite songs of the 80s by prefab sprout! and its hard to surpass the original! still its a wonderful version..lisa sounds wonderful and heartfelt! however something nags me when i listen to it..i keep think its gonna break into "its raining men" (not a good thing) it doesnt and its still amazing!

"say it to me now" is a heartful ballad ..a bit like like a celine dion number!

"he touches me" is a lovely lisa stansfield standard..great lyrics...and sweeps along wonderfully!

"lay your hands on me" is a ballad...like a diana ross number!

not the best on the album!

"the moment" is more a dance track that gave miss stansfield her big hits! its another 10/10 track! think it was the first single but was ignored by the music industry! and it didnt deserve it!

"if i hadnt got you" gets off to a bad start with harmonics a la stevie wonder..it picks up and is a good song..

What can i say ...This is an absolutely brilliant album..but then you always get quality from Lisa...I love this music and the lyrics are so real...the music genre has a very valid appeal in the charts of today. Timeless, unadulterated pleasure!! Even anyone who isn't a fan of this artist can not fail to enjoy her vocals.

Swing [Region 2] [import]Check out Lisa in the Film SWING.. another great and feel good film, sadly unreleased in the U.K but can be found here on Amazon..you won't be disappointed.
