The tendency for this type of book is to show how to weather a WWII main battle tank or create a realistic Napoleonic diorama but the authors have not fallen into that trap here.
From yachts to slots, from paint to gearing and steering they seem to have covered the entire range for modellers. The accusation that might be levelled is that the information would be out of date when considering modern remote controlled mechanisms but I think the opposite view might be true. If you like what comes out of the box, then fine, but if you want to make it yours to your design and specification then this book would show its true worth with methods materials and techniques.
From sail to rail, modelling arms or farms there will be something useful in here.
