Mod Days 18 July 2006
What a fantastic read these 3 books are. After reading them I wrote to Alan asking if there would be more.

If you were a mod in the 60's and especially if you are from Nottingham then these books are a must have, you will NOT be disappointed.

I still have a Vespa scooter, I still have a parka and I still have the music...what I don't have is the youth!!!

I read these three books when I came across them in paperback form some time ago. The storyline in each is unique and is cleverly linked into the other books. Alan Fletcher clearly knows what he's talking about and this shows in these excellent Mod novels. An accurate description of a Modernist life in the early/mid 60's. Well worth the money.

Thank you 1 Sep 2006
Mr Alan Fletcher, thank you.

I 'am' a mod from the 60's born in Beeston, Notts.

Reading your books now for the 5th or 6th time it all floods back, I see myself walking (swaggering)through the streets of Nottingham heading for the Dungeon or the Boat clubs in my bespoke shirt, tailored Pierre Cardin suit and fitted coat.

It is a fasinating read, well put together and a must for mods young and old (not that 'we' get old). It gives a true insight to the period and our lifestyle.

Well done Alan, please give us more.
