Sermons for every Sunday of the year are also included, aimed not at constituting a year-long worship programme, but at addressing topics specific to Sunday and season throughout the year. In this section, a lectionary message is followed by numerous illustrations, scripture references, sermon suggestions, congregational music selections, worship aids (call to worship, invocation) and an entire sermon to prompt individual thinking. Cox insists that this tool is not meant as a substitution for one's own study but merely serves as the starter fluid for the fire that will reflect one's own signature teaching. I have found the Ministers Manual to be helpful. But please be aware that this is mainly for people in the USA. Very much the culture of that country plus many of the dates are for the United States.

I am disappointed with this book based on the calendar dates which are American (i.e. Mother's day is in april!). I was planning my notice sheet for Church when this came to light.
