This book has indepth coverage of the perceptive senses of the horse, including descriptions of research projects with very good coverage within the space. I was a bit disappointed that other aspects of cognition were not covered in the same level of detail (hence not 5 stars).
This is more a book for those interested in the technical side of learning about behaviour, rather than general behaviour, (as it is pitched at a level suitable for the serious student or behavioural consultant); therefore it may be too technical for some people. If you are not sure it is for you then take a peak inside before buying, but personally i found it excellent to be able to buy such a well-researched book at a modest price.
