SYNOPSIS: First broadcast by the BBC over eight weekly episodes (each half an hour long), beginning on New Year's Eve 1978, this production of George Eliot's novel 'Mill on the Floss' stars Pippa Guard as Maggie Tulliver, Christopher Blake as her brother Tom and Anton Lesser as Philip Wakem.
ABOUT THE DVD: This is a 2 DVD set release by JUST ENTERTAINMENT for the DUTCH market (Region 2 - PAL format - which is the same as in the UK, so it will play on all standard DVD players in the UK and the rest of Europe - buyers outside of Europe will need a multi-region player in order to view this). The descriptive text on the rear of the packaging is in Dutch and the only subtitles on the discs are Dutch language (which can be switched off, but there are no English subs on the DVDs). The AUDIO is the original ENGLISH language. The film is presented in COLOUR and in FULL SCREEN format (4:3 ratio) and runs for a total of 280 minutes (over the two discs).
