This is by far the best book I have ever read...I did not actually buy it from Amazon.co.uk but I love it so much I'm going to buy another, newer copy! It isn't really horror, it is about a group of terminally ill teenagers who meet every night at midnight to tell each other stories...sounds a bit morbid but honestly it isn't! It's a beautiful, moving story with a hidden love theme and an unusual twist. It will bring you close to tears throughout as you are constantly reminded that all the characters are going to die, and soon...

This book is really brilliant. It's not really scary, not in the horror sense anyway, as death can be considered as pretty scary, but this book really does help people overcome the fear of death. I know its easy to say that when you are not dying but it helps you to understand what some of the terminally ill feel like. The characters were well developed and didn't seem at all fake. I admit i did cry through the book, anyone who reads these reviews will think we're all wimps but we're not. The book was touching and the sensitive subject was approached with great care and compassion. I know i'm starting to sound awful now, I don't usually write things like this but I'm just trying to tell you how the book made me feel. It truly is a masterpiece. Read it and you'll know what I mean. It is amazing. Honest.

This book is definatley one of Christopher Pike's best. The story is told in a way that makes you want to keep on turning the page just so that you can find out what happens next. Each time you read it you can see it from a different light that makes the book even more brilliant. It confronts the teenage fear of death in a way that doesn't make it sad or even scary but in a way that makes it something that we all have to face and when it comes we will be rewarded. I would read this book over and over again if I had all the time in the world because it is one of my favourites. A MUST for any Christopher Pike fan
