i got this for my brother who is a teenager but struggles with reading and he read this lots and said he loved it. i dont think he would have even picked up a conventional one but found this bible version quite amazing. now i want it too! thanks eugene and God!

I've been a Christian for twenty years but there are bits of the Bible I never understood until I read The Message. There are other bits that are so much clearer. Eugene Peterson has written something that is in the voice of our times but is faithful to those original recountings of God's word. He has avoided the temptation of writing modern funamentalist (or liberal) doctrines into scripture.

I had heard passages from this book at a Rebecca St. James concert. I finally got a copy for myself yesterday and I can't put it down. This book speaks to me in a language I can definitely understand.

Small but beatifully formed
All delivered as promised but was disappointingly small and hard to read. My fault perhaps for not reading the detail proveded thoroughly.

I got the Message!
As always the Message is wonderful. The only problem I had with this version is the small print but that is to be expected in a pocket sized version.

Tiny!
Nowhere on the description does it say how tiny this book is. I was expecting a proper sized Bible, but it's a pocket version. Good job I have some glasses to read it!

This really is compact and quite difficult to read. It would be helpful if amazon gave an indication of size in the discription.
