Product Description

Product Description

Enthusiasts call Harry Gysel a psychic. To others he is a fraud, a meddler in the occult. When he appears to predict the death of a woman in the audience of one of his shows and that woman is subsequently found murdered, Harry becomes an instant celebrity. The police aren't so easily convinced of his innocence. 'You've come here to find the truth,' says Harry Gysel to the audience. But the truth is not so easy to find.

This is the 3rd in the Crime Express Series and so far, a great series - which can easily be stored for journeys or for when time is more limited.

Harry Gysel is a stage psychic - but is he genuine or just an extremely talented illusionist? During one of his shows, he predicts a young woman will die. The next morning she is found murdered and Harry is under police suspicion when similar murders are linked to the timings of his October shows.
This is well constructed plot, cleverly written in a novella which has few characters. Yet Duncan manages to create twists with a final surpise when the identity of the murderer is revealed.
I haven't read any of Rob Duncan's novels before but this has certainly influenced me to start.

This product was in excellent condition and made an excellent prize to be raffled off at the launch of my new Crime Cafe Reading Group. The actual author was doing a talk regarding his works and he kindly autographed the copy for the winner of the raffle.
