About the Author
Michael Pearce grew up in the (then) Anglo-Egyptian Sudan among the various tensions he draws on for his award-winning Mamur Zapt series. He returned there to teach, and retains a human rights interest in the area.
Michael Pearce is also the author of the crime novels featuring Dmitri Kameron, set in Tsarist Russia of the 1890s.

The Mamur Zapt Series

Format:Hardcover
Gentle, droll, English humor at its best. These stories combine the murder mystery with the politics and culture of Colonial life and the Middle Eastern mystique in cosmopolitan turn-of-the-century Cairo. These books can't be allowed to disappear off the shelves.
