I absolutely love this book. Definitely no. 1 on my list of books I read. It reminded me a bit of Paulo Coelho's books and it had the same effect on me. I was grasped by it and it kept me thinking about the story for a long time after I finished reading the book. It is beautifully written and very visual, I felt like watching Carlos from the side with every step he took on his path to wisdom.
I've always been attracted to trees, don't know why, but looking at them makes me automatically go silent. I love the thought of putting memories about meaningful people who were once part of your life to the guardianship of certain trees and wish I grew up in a place with the same tradition. A very comforting thought that I will take with me from the book for the rest of my life.
