5.0 out of 5 stars purely excellent 19 July 2003
Format:Audio CD
this cd is pure excellent from the two of the leading female comedian in the country if not the world. the cd is a double pack of cds featuring 4 episodes from the series. which includes such classics the lost noveller of jane austion entitled sweet fanny adams. it also features wicky and clever songs featuring a euro vision song which is funny beyond belief. althought i have to my favourite section is the sketches entitled leather island, a satire take on lovejoy and bergact based on a tiny island very very uniquelly funny

5.0 out of 5 stars Mel and Sue thing 23 Jan 2004
Format:Audio CD
Incredibly funny. The problem is selecting which bit i found funniest. The continual fainting of the female characters in the adaptation of Jane Austen's lost novella Sweet Fanny Adams creases me up each time I hear it, but have to say the public service announcements are even funnier. BIBO has become a catchphrase in my house, remember kids it's easy breath in, breathe out-classic! Lets have these two back on tele asap.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Mel and Sue Thing 13 July 2003
Format:Audio CD
If missed on Radio Four, then this is a brilliant gift to give any fan.
With a vast array of new characters, Mel and Sue have been able to get back to their roots with this hilarious CD. This is twice a funny as all their humorous antics on their numerous TV shows and as a listener you can tell where their hearts truly rest. Definitely one for the collection, it will have you laughing for hours.

5.0 out of 5 stars High Price To Pay For A Good Laugh 18 Mar 2013
Format:Audio CD
Mel & Sue were the best female comedy double act since French & Saunders. Dare I say, better? Yet, they never got their own TV series. This has always amazed me. Bemused me. Angered me! They were original, unique and hilarious. Thanks, BBC, for depriving us of their visual genius. However, they got a lot more exposure on BBC Radio, which showcased their talents and proved a point, especially in this series. But, please, BBC Radio, re-release this CD set at a more reasonable price!!!! I know Mel & Sue are worth their weight in gold but this is pushing the limits!! Terrific double act.
