a sea faring thriller with political undertones - really good. Liked the references to South Africa - where I live

HASH(0x92b138a0) out of 5 stars A real "can't put down" novel 24 Sept. 2013
By Stacy - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
An excellent read, not often I can say I get stuck in a book in the first few pages, and then can't put it down! Always enjoy supporting a local South African author. I felt like I was travelling with the characters, enjoyed looking up a lot of the countries mentioned in the book to see where in the world they were. Can't wait for another Jesse Smith novel!

HASH(0x9325e4d4) out of 5 stars Wonderful story of revenge 16 Sept. 2013
By Crafty Reader - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Whilst it's obvious that the author knows a lot about ships and the maritime industry, the reader is not bogged down with technicalities. The plot is frighteningly plausible in this day and age and although the characters are purely fictitious, it is obviously that a lot of research has been done to make the circumstances and locations credible. The protagonists Jon and Patti get their revenge in a fast paced, and often violent adventure which takes them to Africa, Europe and the States, and which culminates in an exciting and dangerous trip through the Suez Canal

A very well written and researched book. A pleasant change to read a novel with the Marine industry as background as there is very little in this genre. This book deserves to become a best seller.
