Good For Beginners 28 July 2011

As with the other two mastiff books I've read by Marie Antoinette Moore (the one by TFH and the one by Howell Book House), most of the information in this book has been hashed from other authors. OK for someone wanting a bit of ancient history and opinions from authors such as Croxton-Smith and Stonehenge, but anyone who wants information about specific bloodlines and kennels - and even general care of mastiffs - is going to be very disappointed. I'm giving it 3 stars because I think the pictures are really informative, showing the mastiff through history.

This book provides an insight into an ancient & noble breed with many pictures of mastiffs throughout history. A very interesting book for anyone interested in the history of a wonderful breed.
