I found this to be a decent kung fu movie with some very good moments but never really maintained that and peaked as high as I would've liked. Meng Yuen Man was very good yet failed to live up to his performance in the Shaw Bros movie "The Fighting Fool", I guess due to the choreography wasn't quite as exciting. Casanova Wong gave a mixed performance as a crazy man but his real strength was in his kicking and martial arts sequences, looking very good. When you're watching a film like this you don't expect too much from the movie between fight scenes, but I found it rather dull even for a kung fu movie, lessening my viewing pleasure as a whole. The training sequence in the film was rather pointless, short and uninspired. The finale was good but I'm not sure if I will watch this film again.

The movie was in letterbox widescreen although I have a feeling it may have been cropped, with parts happening offscreen that perhaps should have been seen. The English dub was pretty terrible, worse than many of these UK kung fu movie DVD releases. It sounded like the dubbing artists were shouting at the microphone for most of the film which I found quite annoying and the dialogue wasn't clear. The picture quality was not very good but watchable. However, had I zoomed in I think the picture would have become unwatchable.

Quality of a picture good (to whom as).Looked with pleasure. Is a few hindrances from screen cinema.

HASH(0x966fc42c) out of 5 stars poooooorrrr... 17 April 2002

Having seen 2 other movies from the Dolemite Collection and enjoyed them very much, i was really disappointed by this one. Mediocre Kung Fu, boring story and characters, and way too much screaming from the characters. Way too much screaming! Now in every Kung Fu movie there are the occasional "ha-ya" or "waaa" or any other assorment of vocals sounds, but in this movie it was as if the directors instructions were to "make the biggest most annoying shrilly high-pitched idiotic scream and act like total moron if possible" in each scene. Maybe that was just a problem with bad dubbing, but not even the best dubbing could save this shipwreck of a movie. The crazy guy was just annoying and not much of a comedic character.. and what else can i say... i got this movie [at a local store] on sale for 1 cent, and I can understand why it was on sale for so cheap...
Go and get Hitman of the Buddha or Kung Fu vs. Yoga, from the same collection, but dont waste time on this one...
