The tale of Zorro has undergone many changes, but this is one of the best. Anthony Hopkins is superb, as is Antonio Banderas. A masterful matching of two screen giants. The story of Zorro has been told and retold for decades, but this has to be one of the best cinematic versions so far.

The Mask of Zorro is probably the best example how to make a fun, exciting swashbuckling adventure film. In my opinion it is far more superior than Pirates of Caribbean series. It's a simple, straight forward adventure that doesn't confuse the audience or is insulting to your intelligence. It also features great cast - Anthony Hopkins, Antonio Banderas, Stuart Wilson and Catherine Zeta-Jones. They work each other very well. Plus Catherine Zeta-Jones and Antonio Banderas has great chemistry which makes the love story work. Not like most action/adventure films today.
Overall quality of the film is very good. Both video and sound is top notch. This DVD contains directors commentary, making of documentary and other goodies. In conclusion it's a well packed DVD with in my opinion a classic action/adventure film.

Excellent. Loved this film. Antonio Banderas at his best. Good all round family movie of the swash buckling kind. It is funny, Tragic and heroic all in one. I found myself glued to the screen - now why can't more men be like Antonio Banderos with his old fashioned charm and manners.
