A bit disappointed not as funny as the first book.
Maggie got on me nerves after a while. She wanted to give in to the Count's proposals and advances then she didn't. He came across as being very patient considering he was the boss of a large family and business and what he says goes. They were both stubborn but he was always the one to give in first, one way or another. The romance was there but I felt it didn't quite hit the spot.
The Marriage Mistake book 3

It was slow in places were you wish you could shake either of the leads but it does have a feel good ending. A lovely read for the price and can be read in one sitting

Good, but didn't grab me like The Marriage Bargain.

Also, the books are quite expensive. So that, along with how lacklustre this book was, has put me off buying the third installment - The Marriage Mistake (which is $7.16 - ouch!)!

Anyway, The Marriage Trap follows on from The Marriage Bargain, and tells the story of Alexa's friends, Maggie and Michael.

Michael is a lovable, hot, passionate, Italian entrepreneur, and Maggie is a fashion photographer. Maggie comes across as quite bitchy, aloof and cold compared to Michael, but later on in the story, we learn why she is the way she is, and I started to warm to her a lot more after this.

Some things that annoyed me about this book were:

1. Michael's mum. Apparently being an Italian matriarch gives you licence to be manipulative and domineering! She came across as a bully, and I didn't like her.

2. The cat. Who brings a cat all the way over to America from Italy?! And he's not even a nice cat at that!

3. The name of the restaurant - La Dolce Maggie. Please. This is just cringe-worthy.

Anyway, 3 respectable stars, for a book that was quite readable, but didn't set my world on fire.

This is a great follow-up to 'The marriage Bargain' and I really enjoyed it. Although there are quite a few similarities b/w both books, I loved the story line and the way this new romance unfolds passionately & in a captivating way. Both lead characters are so loveable & witty! I also loved Mama Conte & her feisty daughters. Worth the 5 stars! Easy, funny, sizzling read!
